Review of Crushed Recycled Concrete Potential in Rail Applications

Project Overview

Crushed recycled concrete (CRC), degraded ballast and other recycled materials can be used to reduce construction costs where these materials are able to be sourced more readily than traditional aggregate. CRC can increase sustainability through material reuse, supporting the circular economy and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. To ensure the WA rail sector is leveraging the full potential of this material, WARRIP is reviewing all the suitable applications for safe and effective use of CRC.
