Western Australian roads require rehabilitation to ensure that road users have safe well maintained roads to use. In 2019, Austroads released a Guide to Pavement Technology Part 5 Pavement Evaluation and Treatment Design advising on evaluating and treating roads. The WARRIP reviewed national and international practices, reviewed current MRWA documentation, consulted with regional managers on current practices to develop a WA specific supplement that advises regional managers on the most applicable knowledge to manage their networks.
